Founded by Thomas Brooks in 2016, Industrial Machine Solutions is built on decades of hands-on experience in the field of industrial automation and drive systems. Our founder and president, a seasoned electrical engineer, began his career in the early 1980s as a CNC field engineer with General Electric. Since then, his passion for precision and performance has shaped the company’s approach to service.

Before launching Industrial Machine Solutions, he partnered in four different companies starting in 1991, gaining deep expertise in troubleshooting, drive systems, and field service. He also served as an authorized service center for Baldor drives—an important relationship that included multiple training sessions at Baldor’s headquarters in Fort Smith, Arkansas. During that time, he specialized in drive troubleshooting, upgrades, replacements, and commissioning.

Following Baldor’s acquisition by ABB, he continued to work with ABB drives, bringing that same level of commitment and attention to detail to each project.

Today, Industrial Machine Solutions is proud to offer responsive, reliable service across a range of industrial drive systems. Our team includes experienced field technicians—one with over 30 years of industry knowledge and another representing the next generation of technical talent. We focus on helping customers troubleshoot and resolve drive issues efficiently, offering repair coordination, replacements, and support in identifying the best drive solutions when needed.
